We are entering into the heart of Holy Week, and I am ready to share with you the last of Pope Francis’ “BE”-Attitudes:
I love the fact that it comes right before Easter, in the midst of our whole redemption story. Take time during this week to make the reflections questions real for your own resurrection story!
Am I willing to share my faith story with others? Am I comfortable in sharing how I see God working in my life, even during difficult times? Can I speak of my trust in God’s plan for me?
Am I willing to go out to meet others where they are at? Am I able to accept others who are not as in tune with the presence of God in their lives? What about those who seem to be further along in their faith journey? Do they intimidate me?
Am I willing to share my challenges and mistakes, as well as my successes? Sometimes, we look to forget the mistakes we have made and exclude them from our faith journey. Where do I fit on the scale of accepting my challenges and errors along the way? Can I accept the mistakes of others? Am I able to recognize the Good Fridays as well as the Easter Sundays in my life?
Am I willing to just listen to others? How supportive can I be of others as they walk their faith journey? Am I able to be a witness in the manner of which Jesus spoke of and died for? Do I sometimes choose apathy over action in my journey? Lastly, how do I keep the challenge of being a witness for my faith alive?
I pray that you have a blessed Easter and that these “BE”-Attitudes have provided good company and support through your Lenten journey. Be a witness for the faith! Our world needs those who can bring peace, joy, and hope of the Resurrection into the lives of others.
Happy Easter!
Till next week,
