Gospel: Jn 18:33b-37
Pilate said to Jesus, "Are you the King of the Jews?" Jesus answered, "Do you say this on your own or have others told you about me?" Pilate answered, "I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests handed you over to me. What have you done?" Jesus answered, "My kingdom does not belong to this world. If my kingdom did belong to this world, my attendants would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not here." So Pilate said to him, "Then you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say I am a king. For this I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice."
On November twenty-fourth, two thousand and twenty-four
Our Lord Jesus Christ will knock on our door;
The King of the Universe, our Life, our Love
Invites us to receive His graces from above.
He knows our hearts; we learned that from revelation,
So let’s make Him known more throughout our whole nation
By living our faith in spirit and truth
By uniting in love and inspiring our youth!
Let’s show them through prayer that our hearts are on fire
Let’s show them through action; His Word will inspire!
Let us speak of Him often and love so complete
That the young see the many ways we wash others’ feet.
Before Jesus in the Eucharist, our stronghold, our King
Together we praise Him; together we sing!
Come into our lives Lord Jesus, on this day
Transform our world, King of love, we pray.
