Vocation discernment in a pandemic

April 23, 2020

The Holy Spirit is still hard at work in the hearts of those who are discerning a vocation to religious life -- with a little help from Sr. Emmanuela Le, our national director of vocations, and Zoom. Turning to this online video conferencing program, Sr. Emmanuela stays connected with close to 20 young women from around the U.S. and one from Warsaw, Poland.

Each afternoon the group meets virtually with Sr. Emmanuela for a Holy Hour with the Divine Mercy Chaplet and evening prayer. There is also time for the discerners to share about what is going on in their lives.

On weekdays, our sisters and affiliates from our House of Discernment in Richardson, TX also are part of the virtual meeting. Many times, the young women’s families also join in for prayers.

If you would like to see if your path is leading you to God through religious life and are interested in discerning your vocation, please contact Sr. Emmanuela at or call 682-203-9675. You may also complete our online form available on our Become a Sister page. We also invite you to pray the Prayer for my Vocation.
