Dear Friends,
The third year of the Eucharistic Revival is focused on mission. It is an invitation for each of us to evangelize by utilizing the resources from the first two years of the Revival so that we are well-prepared for this mission. While some may be asked to spread the Gospel in distant lands, others may be asked to spread the Good News by witnessing to family and neighbors. This may require overcoming some trepidation, but the Lord is asking each of us to leave our comfort zone and evangelize one-on-one.
There is someone in your life right now whom Jesus longs to call to Himself. He wants to spark a relationship with them and bless them with His sacraments. You can collaborate. In this Year of Mission, Catholics across the U.S. are saying “yes” to a special form of heart-to-heart accompaniment called the Walk With One initiative, an integral part of the Year of Mission. This is our opportunity to be God’s instrument in the life of another person. Revival results from God moving in our lives. Imagine how our families, communities, and country would be transformed if every Catholic answers this call!
This year invites us to trust in God’s desire to bring about extraordinary changes within our lives. As God works powerfully in our life, He will transform us in ways beyond anything we could imagine. God often places us next to the people whom He is pursuing. It takes so little effort on our part to listen, offer some wisdom from our own faith experience, and then keep them in prayer. During this Year of Mission, you can be sure that God will purposefully place in your life someone He’s calling closer to Himself. If we all keep our eyes and our hearts open, imagine what could happen in their lives! May we be attentive to the inspirations of the Lord!
