Advent Thoughts
Elohim, the God of Isaac, Jacob,
and of all the prophets,
whose splendor
spirals across the centuries in Holy Script
to unfold Mary and Joseph, and the Babe.
Adonai, O Lord.
come.
fill the spaces in our hearts
with Your love and peace,
as we ponder the radiance
of that Star leading shepherds
and kings to a hay-filled throne
upon which lay the Savior
of the world
