Wednesday Reflection - August 20, 2025

August 20, 2025

Dear Friends,

Did you ever have a morning that you wished you could go back to bed and start all over again? I have had many during my life’s journey. Then recently while having one of them I came across this quote, “You can have it all, just not all at once.” This makes sense and the older I get the more sense it makes.

I guess it all comes down to being grateful for what is in front of me now. We need to choose what is most important to us, in the moment we are living in. We tend to accomplish too many things in too short a time instead of enjoying the time that is before us. I know that sometimes I do want it all at once and when that happens, I lose perspective of what is important in my life. Trying to do the laundry, clean the house, cook, talk with a friend, pay bills, and just enjoy this wonderful weather, all that at once can be exhausting.

But we can have it all. We can weave a beautiful tapestry of all the items we want, plus we can dream great dreams, have a deep conversation with a friend, and even just take a walk in the woods. We can take one thread at a time, the one which is most present now. We can have it all, it just comes to us during our life’s journey, not at once. When the time is right the ‘ALL’ will come, and we can add it to our colorful tapestry.

A big part of the ALL is growing in our relationship with God. Holiness comes to us with lots of hard work and slowly. Don’t give up because God doesn’t remember our failures, just how we grow from them.

Take time during this week and experience the ‘ALLs’ in your life. Add them to your tapestry and experience all the goodness God has blessed you with.

Till next week,

Sister Theresita
