Wednesday Reflection - October 29, 2025

October 29, 2025

Dear Friends,

October is fading away, and it is hard to believe that November will be here this weekend. Also, an even more exciting and blessed event will be happening. Sisters from all over the U.S. will come together for a time to reflect, pray, and enjoy one another!

Part of our celebrations will be a Liturgy celebrating the 150th Anniversary of our Congregation’s founding. That celebration made me think of all the women of wisdom who have gone on before us and on whose shoulders we stand. How passionate our Foundress, Blessed Mary of the Good Shepherd (Francis Siedliska), was as she traveled to the United States to serve the families of immigrants there. With great determination and faith, she continued the good works happening in Europe and shared God’s grace with the people in the U.S.

One Hundred Fifty years of Service, building up God’s Kingdom wherever the sisters went. It made me think that this anniversary was not only about the Sisters' efforts but also about God's unwavering presence sustaining the community in every decade of growth and mission. We are challenged to keep the Charism alive, doing so through our Associates and the new and different ministries we engage in with families.

The Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth have spanned 150 years, bringing hope to many during various times and in places here and abroad. God’s Light persists, illuminated by those who educate, heal, and provide compassionate outreach. The Anniversary is a Living Legacy of Faith – a visible sign of God’s Work through the sisters across generations. With God’s continued presence, may we continue to respond to the new need of family and the church with the same courage as our Foundress.

During this coming weekend, please keep our community in prayer, and, in a spirit of gratitude, you may want to send a note or call a sister who has specially touched your life. It will be much appreciated as our Jubilee Year comes to an end. May God be ever present in your lives.

Till next week,
Sister Theresita

P.S. Know that all of you will be remembered in our prayers during this time together.

Would you like our sisters to pray for your intentions? Send us a prayer request.
