January 7, 2026
Dear Friends,
Now is the season of celebrations and feast days. I love it. Each day has offered us something to celebrate, from Christmas Eve to the latest feast of the Epiphany or feast of the Wise Men this past weekend. We have started the journey into 2026. I continue to try to remain in the present moment and appreciate all the gifts it brings, as they say, ‘progress not perfection’. How is your journey going, and is it worth it? I wonder if the Wise Men ever thought about their journey as worth it.
The journey of the Wise Men was certainly dangerous, with many unknowns. I am sure that when they found the Child Jesus, they were filled with Joy, Peace, love, and a sense of belonging. It was worth it all. Are the journeys you make worth it? Sometimes we plan and travel far for something we want, only to end up disappointed. Was it worth all the trouble getting there?
What makes it worth it? Did the journey help make me a better version of myself? If it did, then it was worth it? Or did the journey leave me feeling empty? Each of us needs to reflect on the destination and journey.
Several years ago, I shared with you a piece about taking an airplane trip into the New Year. It came across my desk yesterday, so I took it as a sign to share it again.
Welcome to Flight 2026.
We are getting prepared to take off into the New Year.
Please make sure your Positive Attitude and Gratitude are secured and locked in the upright position.
All self-destructive devices: pity, anger, selfishness, pride, and resentment should be turned off at this time. All negativity, hurt, and discouragement should be put away.
Should you lose your Positive attitude under pressure during the flight, reach up and pull down a prayer. Prayers will automatically be activated by Faith. Once your Faith is activated, you can assist other passengers who have little Faith.
There will be NO Baggage allowed on this flight.
God, our Captain, has cleared us for take-off. Destination – GREATNESS!
Wishing you a New Year filled with new Hope, new Joy, and new Beginnings! Stay Blessed!
Make this trip worth it. Find God’s giftedness in every moment, and enjoy each new wonder and adventure. Rediscover that Babe in the manger and continue your journey together.
Till next week,
Sister Theresita
