Holy Week is an emotional roller coaster! We have been on quite a journey with Jesus: from shouts of hosannas and praise on Palm Sunday to the sadness of Judas’ betrayal on Holy Thursday. We received the incredible gift of the Eucharist at the Last Supper and witnessed the bitter pain of His suffering in Gethsemane. Our hearts are still stricken by the grief experienced at His crucifixion and death on Good Friday, yet we behold His ultimate triumph, that is, His Resurrection, on Easter Sunday. Jesus walked His Calvary, abandoned by many of His closest friends, but we walk ours with His faithful companionship.
On Easter Sunday, we see the sorrow and confusion at the empty tomb, the despondency of Mary Magdalene, Peter, and the Beloved Disciple over the death of their Friend. We see all of their hearts transformed into incredulity and joy upon encountering the risen Jesus. Easter is a reminder that no matter how much despair, darkness, hatred, destruction, and death are in our world, Jesus transcends it, and He will never abandon us. To help us enter into the joy of this season, we would like to share with you the Stations of the Resurrection. We spent 40 days reflecting on the Way of the Cross; let's spend our next 50 days reflecting on the Way of Light.
The Stations of the Resurrection.
