Wednesday Reflection - July 22, 2026

July 22, 2026

Dear Friends,

Summertime and the living is easy, so goes the song. Hopefully you have had some “ME” time to recharge your body and soul. Summer is a time to laugh, have some fun, and enjoy friends and family. One way I know to have fun is to purchase a bottle of bubbles. I love the way children giggle and laugh as they try to catch the bubbles majestically floating over their heads. It reminds me of a prayer reflection I have called, ‘The Parable of a Bubble’.

How can something so simple help us remember God’s love for us? Let me share a few thoughts about the parable. Bubbles are round with no beginning or end, reminding us that God’s love is everlasting. Bubbles reflect a rainbow of colors; this reminds us that God loves all people. A bubble floats quietly. God’s love often comes to us in a quiet smile or hug or a still small voice.

Think about it: bubbles bring happiness. Have you ever seen someone grumpy blowing bubbles? Impossible! Bubbles bring us joy – pure and simple – just like God’s love. Perhaps the most important thing about a bubble is that you have to put something of yourself into it. God waits for us to breathe life into our lives, transforming it.

Finally, bubbles must be shared. Blowing bubbles by yourself is no fun; you need to gather your friends and enjoy them together. God’s love is the same, we need to share it with others. You see, bubbles have a great connection with our loving and gracious God. During this upcoming week, why not invest in a bottle of bubbles and find some folks to share them with? Talk about how they remind you of God’s love for you, His plan for you, and the pure delight in the simple things of life.

Till next week,

Sister Theresita Donach, CSFN
