So how many of you have some bubbles left from last week? I am all out! Actually, I never bought any. To my surprise and amazement, the following Monday, when I went for my physical therapy appointment, after I finished, my wonderful doctor, Jared, took out his ‘bubble gun’ and began shooting bubbles at me. Everyone in the place started laughing, and Monday was off to a good start. For me, all I could think about was my reflection. I quickly shared it with the folks there, and we had a lively discussion. God has a sense of humor! Later that week someone showered me with bubbles again. Believe me, I didn’t need to go out and buy or share my bubbles with just anyone; God provided the opportunities.
There is no such thing as a coincidence; just God incidents! We just need to look for them. To add to this, a very good friend of mine was visiting with her dying mom. After leaving for a dinner break, she told her dinner companion she needed to go back to her mom. She returned just in time to be with her mom when she died. Later, she thanked me for teaching her to listen to the spirit in her soul. Again the whisperings of God.
All of this reminded me that we need to keep life simple and be aware of God’s messages in our lives. Keeping life simple, loving people, being kind, being grateful, and always leaving a place brighter than you found it is the secret to a blessed life.
My suggestion for this week is that you finish using up your bubbles with some friends and keep your heart open to God and His small surprises and whispers. Despite life’s challenges, we need to remember what is written in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.”
Till next week,
