With grateful hearts, we celebrate the jubilees of our Sisters and the many years they have devoted to Christ and His Church. Each Sister's path is unique, but all share the common thread of the love of God that ties us together. We invite you to learn more about each of our jubilarians and give thanks for the blessing of their vocations.
A graduate of Scranton Catholic High School, Holy Family College, and Seton Hall University, Sister M. John was inspired to religious life by the sisters who taught her at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary School in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Their example led her to embrace a vocation that spanned decades of dedicated ministry. 
Sister M. John served in both elementary and secondary Catholic education, including 20 years as principal of St. Katherine of Siena School in Northeast Philadelphia. After her years in education, she served as secretary to the Vicar before retiring from active ministry.
Now retired, she continues her ministry through prayer. Among her most treasured memories are her novitiate in Rome and witnessing the exhumation of the remains of the Congregation’s Foundress, Blessed Mary of Jesus the Good Shepherd. She remains deeply grateful for the Congregation’s charism of family and the many blessings of religious life.
Inspired by her aunt, Sister Donata, a Holy Family Sister who ministered at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, Sister Mary Anthony was drawn to religious life by her aunt’s kindness, joy, and love for others. 
Throughout her ministry, Sister Mary Anthony served as a teacher, principal, treasurer, Director of Postulants, and Director of Novices. Her educational ministry took her to Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, and Peru, where she taught students from kindergarten through high school. She earned degrees from Holy Family College, Boston College, Villanova University, and St. John’s University.
Although retired from the classroom, Sister Mary Anthony continues to serve her community through hospitality and convent ministry, welcoming visitors and assisting with daily needs. She enjoys sewing, knitting, reading, and corresponding with former students and friends. Guided by the example of Blessed Mary of Jesus the Good Shepherd, she continues to live the spirit of Nazareth through prayer, generosity, and joyful service.
Raised in a deeply faith-filled Catholic family, Sister Janice was inspired by her parents’ example of love for God and service to others, as well as by the Nazareth Sisters who nurtured her vocation during her school years. 
Throughout her ministry, Sister Janice served as an educator and administrator in schools across New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. Her leadership roles included principal of several Connecticut schools, Provincial Secretary in Monroe, Connecticut, and Provincial Superior of Blessed Province in Grand Prairie, Texas. She later served at Holy Family University in the President’s Office and as Secretary to the Board of Trustees.
A graduate of Holy Family College and Assumption College, Sister Janice has always centered her life and ministry on the Eucharist. Among her cherished memories are attending the Beatification of Blessed Mary of Jesus the Good Shepherd and meeting St. John Paul II. Now residing at Mount Nazareth Infirmary, she remains grateful for her vocation and the sisters with whom she has shared it.
Sister Patricia Ann's remarkable vocation has touched countless lives through education, healthcare ministry, Congregational leadership, and service to the broader community. 
A graduate of Alvernia High School in Chicago, Sister Patricia Ann pursued extensive studies in business, education, theology, and healthcare administration, preparing her for a wide range of ministries. She began her career in education and later became a respected leader in Catholic healthcare. Her leadership roles included Administrator of Holy Family Hospital, President and CEO of Holy Family Health Care System, and Executive Vice President for Fund Development at Resurrection Health Care.
Within the Congregation, Sister Patricia Ann served as Local Superior, Provincial Councilor, and Provincial Superior, offering thoughtful leadership and guidance. Known for her prayerful spirit, professionalism, and warm personality, she also shared her creativity through CSFN Creations, supporting outreach initiatives. Her 75 years of religious life reflect a steadfast commitment to God, the Congregation, and all those she has served with generosity and compassion.
Inspired by the sisters who taught her at St. Hedwig School and Holy Family Academy, as well as by her early work at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital, she recognized God's call to religious life at a young age. 
Sister RoseMarie earned a bachelor’s degree in education from DeLourdes College and master’s degrees from DePaul University and the University of St. Francis. She spent 17 years teaching in Catholic schools throughout the Chicago area, sharing her love of learning and faith with countless young people.
Her leadership later led her to serve as Provincial Secretary, Administrator of Nazarethville, and Provincial Treasurer, faithfully supporting the Congregation's mission for many years. Since retiring from active ministry in 2007, Sister RoseMarie has continued her ministry through prayer, correspondence, and outreach to families. Through thoughtful letters, phone calls, and daily prayers, she continues to share the spirit of Nazareth with warmth, compassion, and joyful faith.
Inspired by her eighth-grade teacher, Sister Celestine, and the Sisters who taught her at Nazareth Academy, Sister Charlotte Niemczyk answered God’s call to religious life and began a ministry that would span decades. After attending Nazareth Academy and Holy Family College, she dedicated herself to Catholic education, serving as an elementary and high school teacher, guidance counselor, and ESL instructor. 
Throughout her years of ministry, Sister Charlotte shared her gifts in schools and parishes across Pennsylvania, including St. Stanislaus and St. Hedwig in Philadelphia, Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Scranton, St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls, and St. Adalbert Parish in Philadelphia. She especially enjoyed working with students of all ages, helping them grow academically, personally, and spiritually.
Known for her kindness, prayerful spirit, and active involvement in community life, Sister Charlotte has faithfully lived the Nazareth charism through humble service and dedication to others. An avid reader with a lifelong love of learning, she remains grateful for the many blessings of religious life. Though retired for the past decade, she continues to inspire those whose lives she has touched with her example of faith, service, and commitment.
Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Sister Florence was inspired by her mother’s deep faith and her own love of daily Mass. During her senior year of high school, witnessing the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth and attending an investiture ceremony helped her recognize her call to religious life. She entered the Congregation on September 8, 1951. 
Sister Florence earned a bachelor’s degree in religious education from Villa Maria College and a master’s in the same field from La Salle University. Throughout her ministry, she shared God’s love through education, pastoral service, and spiritual support. One of her most meaningful ministries was serving as a hospice volunteer, accompanying patients and families with compassion and care. She also served as Associate Director of the Great Lakes Area Association, helping others embrace the Nazareth charism.
Now retired, Sister Florence enjoys puzzles and bingo while reflecting with gratitude on a vocation marked by faith, kindness, and a lifelong commitment to serving others.
Sister Elizabeth Trembczynski’s vocation took root in elementary school, when a CSFN teacher, Sister D. Marie, encouraged students to consider religious life. Inspired by the Nazareth Sisters’ kindness, joy, and example, she felt called to join their family. 
After attending Thornton Fractional High School and Holy Family Academy, Sister Elizabeth earned a bachelor's degree in education from De Lourdes College. She began her ministry as a teacher, serving in Catholic education for 13 years before transitioning to healthcare ministry in 1981. For the next four decades, she served as a licensed nursing home administrator and director of assisted living, providing compassionate leadership and care. One of her most memorable experiences was coordinating the safe evacuation of 300 nursing home residents during the Des Plaines flood of 1987.
Retired since 2021, Sister Elizabeth continues to live the Nazareth charism through prayer and service. Her life reflects a deep love for God, compassion for others, and unwavering dedication to the mission of Nazareth.
Raised in a Polish family and educated by the Nazareth Sisters at St. Mary’s School in Worcester, Massachusetts, Sister Colette was inspired by their prayerful spirit, devotion to the Blessed Mother, and loving care for children. The example of three cousins who entered the Congregation also helped nurture her own vocation. 
After earning a bachelor’s degree from Holy Family College and a master’s degree in Connecticut, Sister Colette dedicated her life to Catholic education and parish ministry. Her service took her to communities throughout New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut, where she touched the lives of students, families, and parishioners through her compassionate presence and dedication.
Known for her quiet, thoughtful, and caring nature, Sister Colette values friendship, community life, and the relationships formed through religious life. She believes the heart of the Nazareth charism is family life, rooted in understanding, patience, forgiveness, and peace. Now retired in Monroe, Connecticut, she continues to witness to these values through prayer and faithful presence.
Raised in Poland, Sister Monika was inspired by her parents’ deep faith and the lives of the saints. Following her First Holy Communion, she felt a growing call to religious life and was drawn to the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth through the example of Blessed Mary of Jesus the Good Shepherd and the charism of Nazareth. 
During her early years in religious life, Sister Monika served in convent ministry and as a facility manager before coming to the United States. She later earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Excelsior College and ministered as a registered nurse at Bethania Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas, caring for newborns, mothers, and children.
Since 2004, Sister Monika has devoted herself to caring for retired and infirm sisters in the convent infirmary in Grand Prairie, Texas. Elected Local Superior of Jesus the Good Shepherd Convent in 2021, she continues to serve her community with compassion, faithfulness, and a deep commitment to the spirit of Nazareth.
What began as a simple conversation about religious life became, in her words, “God’s plan, not mine.” While teaching second grade at St. Stanislaus Kostka School, Sister Linda was introduced to the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth and soon embraced her call to religious life. 
Throughout her ministry, Sister Linda dedicated herself to Catholic education as a teacher and principal in New York, Connecticut, and Philadelphia. Her distinguished 43-year career as a principal culminated in her 2025 retirement from Nazareth Academy Grade School. Known for her deep commitment to students, she found great joy in helping young people grow academically, spiritually, and personally.
A lifelong learner, Sister Linda earned degrees from Suffolk County Community College, Long Island University, Southern Connecticut State University, and Fairfield University. Today, she continues to serve by volunteering at animal shelters in Philadelphia. Guided by faith, honesty, and hard work, she remains committed to living the Nazareth charism through service, community, and love of God.
While attending Nazareth Academy High School, she was inspired by her freshman biology teacher, Sister Maureen McGarrity, CSFN, and drawn to the sisters by their joy, prayerfulness, and strong sense of community. 
A graduate of Nazareth Academy High School, Sister Mary earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from St. Thomas University and a Master of Arts in Sacred Scripture from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. Her ministry has included service in schools and parishes in Pennsylvania and Florida. Since 2002, she has ministered at Nazareth Academy High School in Philadelphia as a theology teacher and Theology Department Chairperson, guiding generations of students in their faith formation.
One of the most meaningful experiences of her ministry was serving in a Cuban parish in Miami, where she learned valuable lessons in hospitality, community, and trust in God’s providence. Known for her joyful spirit and sense of humor, Sister Mary enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with family, friends, and fellow Sisters. Her life continues to reflect the welcoming spirit of Nazareth.
