Sr. Josephine Garrett professes final vows

November 25, 2020

On November 21, the feast day of our foundress, Blessed Mary of Jesus the Good Shepherd (Frances Siedliska), Sr. Josephine Garrett professed her final vows with the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth at St. Joseph Vietnamese Catholic Church in Grand Prairie, TX. With a few friends, family, and CSFNs attending in person, and many others watching virtually, Sr. Josephine asked “for the grace to be faithful in following Jesus in this Congregation all the days of my life” and vowed “chastity, poverty, and obedience forever.” She also received a simple ring on which are inscribed the words “Dilectus meus mihi et go Illi” (My Beloved is mine and I am His). In a video recorded shortly after her profession of vows, Sr. Josephine shares what this ring means to her.
